This isn't the guy I use to shine my shoes at the park - I have Santiago (James for any who don't know) do it ---- but Anne pointed out that the prices were listed on his back. Even a different price of 2 extra Quetzals for Sunday. So now I have some bargaining power with Santiaga for next time. He charged me 5 Q's and it wasn't a Sunday. At least I know I paid a legitimate price, but I'll be wanting a 3 Q shine next time, and then likely tip him up to the 5 Q.? BTW : Q3.00 = .39 USD and Q5.00 = .66 USD. So not a bad deal either way really.
