I am so pleased to note some of these adventure as far North a Canada and a few come here to California to pools or lakes with shallow natural vegetation rich edges.

Those big yellow feet are very distinct and we can see how they allow the weight to be spread widely over the floating leaves.

Wonderful adapted creatures and close famies with the growing young helping out with their younger siblings!

Chris, how hard is it to locate them?
