Asher Kelman: “Rat in the U.S.A. with Orange Hair!”

What makes one rat more important than another?

Go figure!

This rat was in a bespoke white neighborhood with no unsecured garbage to be seen in at least 10 miles.

Rats are as part of human existence as cockroaches, house flies and belief in magic!

Why do political statements have to be shouted?

To be effective, warnings must: 1) reach their target audience; 2) capture the attention of recipients at the right time; 3) cause recipients to understand the risk, believe that the warning relates to them, and understand the actions they need to take; and 4) lead the recipients to respond appropriately. Several design factors influence whether the warning is noticed, encoded (e.g., read/heard, understood, personalized, believed, stored in memory), and acted upon to avoid the hazard.

James,

Who are these notices addressing: if it’s Democrats then surely a logical common cause with a solution that is explained in a convincing way would be most effective.

“Shouting” at them seems a waste of effort!

Thanks Jim!

@ James,

I personally believe that any persuadable Democrats one is seeking to sway would be put off by two things here:

1. Large shouting print, reflecting a hustler

2. The large banner proudly announcing a likely Republican meme being offered.

If we actually want to pull over swing voters, first attract them with common cause for some problem they should be, (or are already concerned), about. Then give a succinct two to three phrase argument for which the obvious conclusion is your proposed political action.

Besides being born with a meme, like religion, politics can be spread easily by only force of arms, seduction or by logic.

Here we are left with only the latter!

Most animals, including rats, are opportunistic. They go where the food is.
If you don’t clean your kitchen you’ll surely have ants and cockroaches.
If you leave garbage about you’ll most likely get rats.

We have our own marsupial rats. Some live in trees. Others hang around the compost and eat my left overs.

Not much point in blaming the politicians. They’re probably as untidy or clean as the next bloke but they are not the problem. Nor are they the solution.

Clean up, set some traps, lay baits, move house or secure it. It’s like any aspect of pest control. Clean up your own back yard first, then help your neighbour do the same.

Ain’t there enough guns around to shoot them?
