Retirement in the prone position

Such is the way of the elderly, especially those who married someone with some cash and a few years less spent on this earth.

And during those idle moments, new thoughts produce new actions which produce surprising results.

my hypothesis, which I am currently testing on myself, and is subject to the usual biases, suggest that if I allow the idea held to control the thoughts and actions without any consideration for accuracy, similarity and recognition IN ALL The Things I DO, then and only then will I achieve what I desire in imagery.

The act of pronation continues as retirement fluidates and mindfulness ruminates.
The pool is a place for meditation and cleansing.

Tom,

It’s a straightforward and personal approach that seems to match my hunches.

This is interesting and I will react to it with your “guiding idea” in mind!

Anyway, IMHO, (to qualify as such), seems to need to evoke in it’s creator, the kinds of physicality, feelings and thoughts (s)he imagined would be evoked.

Then if our creator is satisfied it goes to to enjoy it or not!

But tonight, I just start to look at this series from what I think is your point of view si I can, perhaps approach some of the reactions or at least possibilities you might have intended for yourself.

Thanks for looking in, Ash.
Few do these days.
Not much to identify with, I guess.

that’s important for some. Maybe all.
often I find myself identifying with the result more than the subject.
It’s as though I want things to be different. As seen by a future me.
if I saw this tomorrow what would I see. Or want to see.?

I feel as if the camera is no longer sufficient for my vision.
words, drawings get close but I don’t have the skills
Like you with the sculpture, we search for meaning with the limited media we have at our disposal.
Frustration is at every turn. Nothing gets us to the point of satisfaction.

is this the pain we suffer? Is this the purpose of art? Can we never find an way of stating how we feel?

I fear so.

Hmm hmm

I fear so. / I'm working on it, OK!

Doesn't the whole subject lie in these two complementary arguments?

It might be that’s the subject is subjective.
I woke this morning after a restful sleep.
This is the first thing I recall enough to photograph.

the subject is internal.

Yet it s created by the external view.
I think of light and how it integrates with ouperceptions.

I think of life and death, with more time to spare.

I think of life and death, with more time to spare.

I think of where I live and how I got here, what lay ahead, what is left behind.
I wrestle with the demands of others.
I am reminded that our senses are all we have to connect us to the other world, the outer world.
The pleasures of others is not a priority.
Like the hand print on rock in a primitive cave, I am sending a signal that I am alive and this is what I see.
