Hi,
I have been a serious amateur photographer for many years.
My interests are landscape, theatre, portrait and netball, the latter due to my wife’s lifelong participation and interest in the sport.
Netball is very difficult to photograph because most of the games take place indoors. My work to date has been with a Canon 20D. To maintain shutter speed I have been working at ISO 1600 with a modicum of success.
I need to upgrade the camera and was thinking of the 1DMKIII but am a little concerned about the stories relating to auto focus problems.
I tried a 1Ds MKIII recently but at ISO 1600 the results we not good enough. I am not criticising the camera in any way, at ISO 500 the results are astounding.
I joined this forum because having read some of the threads it seems to me that your contributors are interested in the occupation, execution of photography and helping others in a constructive way.
Thank you.
Roy
