Thank you Fahim for this superb series. Somehow the first picture is my favourite. Paradoxically enough the reason is the similarity of that landscape with the landscape of Lapland, where I was born. Just replace the camels with reindeer and there you have it.

Hi there gal.

You know your comments are sooo much appreciated.

The camels in the desert are not wild. They roam free all day and aorund sunset the herder and
his/her family bring them back home. The camels know where home is!! Uncanny.

We have not expanded skyways..as in Dubai., but sideways. Although we have high rise structures but not that high.

The highway you see in the pics, I remember about 40 years ago was like the desert you see in the other pics. My house is located about a few kilometers away on the left side. Where my house stands was out in the sand wilderness..way way away from settlements.

Just about 40 years Charlotte. From there to here. All across the country.

Kindest regards.

Very cool images fahim. The first one especially so for me.

Having access to such interesting vistas and culture with the people images, is something very special to be able to capture photographically. Thanks for the insight into what takes place around you.

Robert, thank you very much.

Fahim,

I love looking at your photos as where you live is so incredibly different from where I live. The culture, the dress, the landscape. It is as looking through different eyes.

Forgive, me Fahim, but I do no know where you actually live. I can but take a guess but think it would be just easier and smarter to ask.

It now makes sense. My buddy works for Serco, a company that builds loading docks for large commerical buildings. He is sent all over the world overseeing the setting up of them (in fact he is currently in South Korea). Anne and i were at his house just after he got back from a job in Saudi Arabia a few months back - - - and what he described came to life with your images in this post. Including his description of taking the SUVs out on desert runs. He also described the falconry in the desert and the massive buildings that go on and on like we've never seen here in Canada or the U.S.
