For the first time in three weeks since returning to Canada, Anne and I headed out so Anne could purchase her own groceries this time. I sat in the car while she went in with scarf over her face (to protect others if she coughed), sanitary gloves, and her own shopping bags. Strong warnings were posted at the door. Shopping carts that had just been sanitized, we’re provided to each customer as they entered. Store aisles were clearly marked to keep everyone moving in one direction. The cashiers were protected by plexiglass, and dots were placed at safe distances from each other where you were to stand while checking out. It was nice to see this level of concern and action being taken.
