I missed this thread somehow, Cameron, and what a pity. I love the cheeky bubblegum and cigarette shots most that evoke the mood of an era and the character of the model. The viewer immediately "knows" Samantha's personality, feistiness, and insecurities whether acted or otherwise. And can imagine the photographer looking like the Fonz with a battered Leica. Most "portraits" seem staged but not this set. Lots of praise deserved by you and your model.
Cheers
Mike

Hi Cameron,

You have achieved your goal pretty well with your even frontal lighting. I would have cheated a little in order to open up the hair detail. Yes it's in the style of the photobooth, but we are not required to tell the truth rather to pay homage to that way of imaging.
