Second curtain sync w/ST-E2

Hello all,

The quick and dirty question, "Is it possible to acheive second curtain sync using the ST-E2 driving a 580EX (model I) in slave mode?"

I've attempted to do this by making setting adjustments on both my 5D and the 580EX. However, this option seems to go away when the 580 is put into either Master or Slave mode.

I know the 580EX will overide the custom function option in the 5D(camera I am using), but I cannot find anything in the manual saying that is just not available. I can set delays with the Pocket Wizards but apparently not with the ST-E2.

Don't know about the 580 (model I), but apparently not. On the model II, when in slave mode, I can't select the second curtain sync on the flash either. It apparently requires a wired connection.

That's really quite interesting. I wasn't aware the ST-E2 couldn't do 2nd shutter sync. That puts a big fat X on the ST-E2 for gigs and suchlike for me.

Yep, no wireless 2nd curtain on Canon cameras. Quite ridiculous.
