My World: Snowdonia from Afar

Hi,

Thought I'd share this picture taken from my what I'd consider my own 'local patch' in Lancashire. This however being a bit different in that it is looking out across the Irish Sea to the mountain range of Snowdonia in Wales - some 100km distant!

This view is often obscured by haze, but on this evening the skies were crystal clear and a beautiful gradient had developed in the sky. The highest mountain in Snowdonia is Snowdon at just over 1000m tall - although it can be easily visited if desired as a railway runs up to the top wehre there is also a cafe! (http://www.snowdonrailway.co.uk/).

The object on the far right is actually an oil platform out in the Irish Sea - one of several in that area.

Thanks for looking,
Andrew.

Thanks Cem and Nicolas,

Life at the moment seems somewhat chaotic, what with kids and work and other things, so I seem to be looking for some simplicity in my photography instead!

Thanks, Andrew

More than often, beauty is made of simplicity…
But simplicity is not much easy to catch and extract.
You did it : )
