We had planned to go to Yellowstone again this weekend. Then, at the last minute – I cancelled our reservations. We decided to head north in search of Snowy Owls. I’m no expert on these owls, but I have to say I can count all that I Have seen in my lifetime on one hand (and I get out quite a bit).

So, you can imagine how comical it is to actually decide to go looking for one. We decided to head towards Kalispell and see if we could see anything. At the last minute this morning, we went a completely different direction. Somewhere we have never been..

You can imagine our surprise when on a snowy back road, this lovely bird sat on a fence post right off the side of the road!

Jaime, I was showing a friend some of your work and Eric Diller's work and her response was "They've won tons of awards, haven't they?" I agree, it's award-winning-quality work you both do.

Jaime,

Considering the miracle chance find when you were so primed, this picture is even more special. So why not give the picture the extra honor by centering it so it's surrounded by white spaces. I like the fact that you show us just the best and most impressive photographs. Well then, the presentation should be as in a fine gallery!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful picture. Good thing you underexpose slightly. That must help.
