Hi All,

Just thought I'd share some (not looking for CC, just felt like sharing!)

Hi Len,

Can you allow C&C because otherwise all I can say is that I like all the pics. The first, BTW is not appearing today! Maybe you can at least tell us how you came to take them and what were your thoughts.

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Asher,

I edited the first one, so the link changed. I attempted to edit the original post, but here's the re-edit of the first one:

The first two were from a 'last minute' run to Laguna, after seeing there might be some good cloud detail in the sky. The sunset was a total surprise, as it's been pretty gloomy down there. The B&W has a bit of a story behind it. Shortly after this frame, I slid off the rock I was perched on and scraped the heck out of my ankle! So I actually grounded myself this weekend, knowing that if I traveled/hiked, it would aggravate the wound :)

The last image is kind of interesting, as I shot it after an extremely difficult day of work. The blown out portion of the sky was intentional as I liked the transition between the fire of a bad day to the peace of a clear blue night sky. The smooth water, resulting from a long exposure, helped to portray my mood at the time.

Thanks for looking!

You're absolutely not obliged to!
we (at least, I) can understand, you just wish to share…

  1. Generally, just sharing is in Layback Cafe. No issue with that, just then, when the poster provides more of what helped him/her set up the shot and thoughts then we can do better understanding the photograph.

  2. Image posts without the O.K. for C&C can mean a very short thread.[/B] "Here's my pictures," followed by, "Great job Joe" and the thread is over.

  3. Threads that ask for other photographers to post "Trees on mountain slopes" without C&C.would be a great thread since everyone can join in.

  4. Context, anyway, while not always necessary is helpful as it is the artists truth.

  5. Joe Peters "Trees". a blog. One would continue to post one's own work on one subject, like the Alaska pictures.
