Static discharge to cause flash misfire.

Has anyone experienced a static discharge setting off their flash lights?

I know it may be hard to believe but this same thing did happen to me yesterday with my Quantaray QDC 900WA flash.

I had it setup to do a shot and did something else, I went to turn my room lights off cause they caused a bad glare and got shocked, and it tripped my flash.

Hi, Cody,

I haven't, but I could imagine it happening.

Were you holding the camera and/or flash when you touched the light switch plate and got zapped?

Best regards,

Doug

No, I try to ground myself out to avoid circuit burn outs.
and the flash was out of arms reach when it happened.
