Frank,

Great to have a departure from fashion to just messing around with an idea. It's great fun and the second one is my favorite and instructive. The simple side lighting and her great attitude make the shot. Your discipline in the simplicity, with just the wind moving her hair and a great pose are the keys of the shot. I'd continue the idea of the wind moving from behind her by adding some leaves on her left blowing past her.

This set of photographs, even casually shot in fun, show how hard it can be to carry through a theme. Here's the thing: the other shots miss that special nature of power and presence! The lighting is too even for the action shots. There's just playful fun but no atmospherics to match the one where she's just standing there, ready for action. Too much is revealed. Perhaps and one also needs more complexity in shadows.

These 4 pictures have helped to make me think how one might do such a project to project the power and presence of the still shot to the others. I'd be interested in hearing ideas.

Well the will change a bit. They are meant as the base for a cartoonlike post I hope to have some of that up in the coming weeks and she needed a more flat light.

Hope you don't mind, but when you said cartoon, I played around with it.

I don't know how to upload an image.

Can someone tell me please?
