hi everyone.
i love love love photography--mostly candid portraits and sports. lately, almost all my stuff has been sports-related. my daughter plays soccer and my son plays football. i have been taking the soccer pis for about 8 years and the football since last year. this year, i started to photograph our varsity team and i post the pictures after each game on shutterfly(http://piratefootball2008.shutterfly.com/).
last week--at homecoming no less--my digital rebel rebelled. i bought a canon 40d and a 70-300(4-5.6).
i am almost embarrassed to say that i have been using the automatic sports setting for the past couple years--the pictures have been good, but i am so wanting to take them to the next level. since last week, i have been trying more manual methods with some success--but i am having difficulty with the correct exposure and how to achieve it. today, for example, the light was completely different from one end of the soccer field to the other
i do have a version of photoshop but usually just use my iphoto to do some basic adjustments after upload.
i am not sure how to add the pictures to these entries. please advise and i will add some recent photos.
thanks. ellen
