Yes, I admit to crass sentimentality and liking prettiness. This works for me as a post card or snippit for memories and to send to family. You don't need the grey on either side. I like the wall paper at the back, as it seems as if we are indeed at home and later on dinner will be served.

I thought at first this was about the Vaporetto! (I'd like to see a new picture, if you have it, with the people waiting for the Vaporetto and more of the station and the top of buildings in the distance. For sure you have more!)
Now let me look at the b.g.
To me it seems that the taxis need to be more important. I'd crop away
[*]On the left beyond the 3rd white pole and the wall
[*]On the the right side beyond the first two window pains on the left
[*]Below the angle in the bend of the white drain pipe on the left lower portion of the station.

Now, we have made the image more about the water taxi! I'd now brighten that part of the image, including its pretty reflection in the water, and increase contrast, so it stands out. You might pull back on the sharpness and intensity of the Vaporetta station, if that's indeed what it is!
