Tetragnatha extensa (long-jawed Orb weaver spider).

Paul Iddon

Moderator
I think it is Tetragnatha extensa anyway... A stretch spider.

Order: Arachnida: Araneae - family: Tetragnathidae

All the Tetragnatha species are stretch spiders and they adopt the habit of stretching their legs out in front and behind to produce a stick like effect and can be very difficult to detect on vegetation.

What I like most about this image, are the two raindrops on the top and beneath the sternum.

Paul,

What extraordinary detail!

To that end, a crop is deserving merely to allow mobile phone users to appreciate the fine quality of this capture!

Now this is macro!

Kudos!
