I was visiting a client in London last week and arrived with about 15 minutes to spare before my meeting, so i managed to wander down to the Houses of Parliament and took a few quick snaps (although I intended to picture the sculpture all along) on the way and in Victoria Tower Gardens. This is the Burghers of Calais by Auguste Rodin, apparently presented to the British Government in 1911. It commemorates a siege of Calais by the British in 1347, during the 100 years war, and this casting stands in Victoria Tower Gardens at the end of the Houses of Parliament.
