EDIT: I realized I named this thread wrong. New person mistake. I meant to include a couple photos related to the one heading.

I am always interested in comments regarding any reaction they create in the viewer.

Martin,

You might want to segregate the atmospheric night shots from the softer almost pastoral landscape. I can always rearrange posts to your preferences so for now continue to post and we can subdivide later.

Martin,

There's immediate impact. It's really alive! Except that the clothes are modern, this has the ambience of some 1960's roadside café. I like it and hope you'll take this further by adding siblings of like nature.

Martin Stephens: Hills

Martin,

This image shows a different esthetic and a class of images with great potential. Is there more detail you can bring out in the clouds? The curve of the road cutting a corner of wooded slopes, is a great design.

How did this picture come about? Are there more and can you go easily back? There's a lot more to see! Would better contrast and detail be helpful or is this what you wanted? If so, my comments are to be ignored.

I realize I did not explain my intent - sorry. My intent was to show a range of my typical environmental photographs, to see if they raise "interest of any kind" in the viewer. If they reach people in any way.

On the B&W image, there's not much rez or DR left in this neg beyond what you see. Sky mostly blown. Cold, rainy day while driving the road through hills. I have maybe 3 more in this set. I can perhaps post another? The road felt mythic and dreamy against these soft hills. Thank you for the comment.

I like the 3 B&W pictures very much. The tonalities are well chosen to fit this kind of landscape and weather.
