Oh my goodness!
I just discovered this gentle gem by accident!
It’s very delicately resting and it’s so light that the plants underneath don’t seem to be noticing!
Is that Petzval whirl from some projector lens?

Thanks Asher! No Petzval lens, but a Steinheil Quinon 2.8/152mm (large format lens) from 1961 fully open...

No defect, just as the lens renders...(it is optimized for close-ups I assume)

I return to your leaf, once again, still in awe! It’s such a simple image: merely one fallen leaf!
So fabulous in its gentle repose!
It’s life at its most elegant!
The leaf that falls has done its job and floats down to become the fertilizer for new growth. Interestingly, it becomes increasingly likely to spread in the wind. This way, soil far away from the tree is nourished too: a metaphor for the family!
