Well done. It's certainly moth like, but have you pushed this far enough? I wonder though about the emphasis on the hair and ears. I'd not stop here but look further at this idea and work more. for example, what about sharpening and more local contrast in the wing forms?
is this part of the food for darker thoughts work - there was the picture of the doll in the doorway?
if it is - i could be going mad - i think it works in tone - there is an unease that the framing and tonality creates that is disturbing - everything is slightly slewed - reminds me of a hitchcock feeling...
do you have more of this work? - can you put them together? - or is it an idea your working on?
Hi Mark, yes it is part of the series. That's an ongoing project that seems to be lacking a common theme, although I'm not quite sure it needs one. Maybe it's just a way to handle inner anxiety at times?
Thank you Asher, those are good suggestions. But did you spot the moth? The one that gave this picture its' name.
Is that the moth flying towards your head from the left side of the picture? I thought that the central figure and the panes of glass on either side, constituted the moth!
Asher, I only came up with the title when I saw the moth on my laptop (I didn't notice it when shooting). But you're right, the figure with the shadows does look like a moth, too, hence the name.
