The Quiet Haunts of a Young Girl

Christmas afternoon Children were playing in the yard. Lots of action shots but these for me me are simply the catch of the moments.
Peyton seems to channeling the poet Sylvia Plath. The mood was somber and only lasted seconds. I kept everything dark to keep the mood. Hello all it's been a while!

Hi Charlotte and nice to see your work again! Hope you're doing well.

These pictures are simply fantastic. So many people suffer from solitude during the big holidays. This girl, however, seems so alone and lost in her thoughts (I know she's neither, but let's suppose the model she's playing is). There's an important commentary hidden in your series.

Thank you so much and yes in a way this series could also be a good metaphor for those of us in humanity who have many many emotional hauntings during the holidays. Indeed I did see that too.
She just seemed to me to encapsulate a young Plath- who was also haunted by her emotions and past life also present. I also suppose this child reminds me of me when I was this age or maybe a tad older. I used to always wander around in solitude and deep thoughts as a young girl-

That second one is very powerful. Very thought provoking. Musings of innocence.

I second what Ben says.

Peyton is growing up fast. This a wonderful documentary of the family.

And Charlotte, you and the kids have a wonderful new year and many many more. Each one better than the previous one.

Best wishes.

Thank you so much! You know that one is definitely my favorite- I was actually amazed at these when I saw them- I knew I was capturing some thoughts of a child but unaware really how poignant that little mind was in such deep thought-

Charlotte,

She's still so cooperative and having fun!!! This is a lucky time for everyone. Cherish it!!!

I'd like to see this one stage further integrated towards the title, ".channeling the poet Sylvia Plath.." by triptych of the 3 portrait images on the one b.g., so that would mean adding her from two images to any one of the others in some way. Then we could see the nuances in facial expression change as she walks.

I did think of that but do not remember how to visually do that! Would you help me!
I did however on FB - Title this I think- in original The Quiet Haunt of Mz Plath
but I am one to change titles- but of course the original intent is always worded- Thank you my friend!
I have been on hiatus for days an artist need to recluse and hide and so goes my brain-
