Hi Dwayne,

I dare say that this is a very nice picture were it not processed for the soft focus to this extreme. It is a matter of personal taste but to me it is just a bit over the top. Having said that, I still enjoyed the picture, thanks for showing.

Cheers,

Dwayne,

I like very much the picture and the softness is interesting and technically fine. The petals are delicate, like a soft spring dress of silk. However, like Cem I feel the delivery might not be expressing, (at least what I imagine could be) your intent, fully.

I never demand, need or prefer sharp pictures! What distracts is the soft but perhaps too uniformly rendered and illuminated background, with no minor relief of spots or areas of color to complement the subject. It's helpful, IMHO, to have OOF leaves or other blooms in the background. That provides a sense of a milieux. Here it's like the subject is on a piece of ground glass as in a laboratory or maybe a glass wall in a department store.

I wonder if you have the picture in in native form to be able to try other presentations of what is an excellently selected subject and consider some burning in, (shading/vignetting) of the periphery, every so slightly?

Thanks for sharing,

Asher
