The Tired Wall

While at a gasoline station, I spotted a long pile of old tires up against the wall. What caught my eye was the various tread patterns, light patterns and the overall presentation. As I got closer and looked for different angles, I saw this opening. It made me think of a sentry post for their rifle to poke through. I grabbed a few shots and thought I'd post this one to share. Thoughts??

I like the picture, but would consider this a start of a project, not yet its final statement. To me, at least, it is cropped too tightly and so is divorced from the real world. There is no demanding pattern or composition that I recognize as yet that makes the picture in itself memorable. It's a very good subject to work on and will give rewarding results.

On the very positive side, this material is being recycled!

As a matter of interest, mosquitoes carrying Arboviruses such as West Nile virus and Dengue can breed in the stagnant water accumulating in tires stored outdoors.

Nature is ruthless in finding places for life!

Thanks Asher, I'll go back and look at the originals and see if there are some other shots that present some different views. I'll don the mosquito net the next time I visit.
