Maybe some white balance issues, but an interesting shot. I like old timer's faces about as much as kid's, but find them harder to do. The history a person shows in the face tends to make them reluctant to be photographed, although women more so than men.

Thanks for the comments Clayton. The white balance was correct when originally shot, however, i deliberately reduced the temperature of the shot when post processing as I thought it would be more complementary with the eyes...

I wonder about the color of his face? Could be cyanosis, heavy metal poisoning or color balance.

I like the character in his face. Works perfectly in B&W.

Hi Matt

Firstly welcome to OPF, nice to have another Brit here...

I like the tone of this shot, it has a haunting quality about it, his eyes are so expressive. I'd like to see this in B&W too...

Placment

Hi,

I like the picture it have some haunting quality to it.

Wonder what you think of the placment of the portraite in the center with some empty spaces in the back and in the front of it somthing looks unbalanced to me that way.

Hi Matt,

Haunting picture. When I look at this picture I feel that I might not see the gentleman alive
the next time. And that to me makes it a powerful image. I would leave everything as it is
because that adds to my feeling of the inevitable.

Those were my feelings for the image. In real life I wish him all the best.

Regards.
