Thoughtfulness

Prayer and thoughtfulness are in opposition. While prayer seeks solice from without for problems within, thoughtfulness finds solutions from within to the puzzles beyond us.

Tom,

Titles are a generous way to bring us closer to the maize the artist has created, allowing us to muse or be amused. The further sharing of ideas is even more generous! Thanks.

Who doesn't try to set sharp focus in street photography? It would seem to be the sine qua non of reportage! Yet what seems so "self-evident" might be missing the essence of things. De-emphasis of detail can, (and even inverting the rank of assigning detail to the important), as you demonstrate here, clarify the underlying gestures, revealing more of feelings and intent.

Your picture here is remarkable in demonstrating this lesson. We see not the individual as a character, we'd likely recognize ever again, but rather as symbolic. It reveals human values often masked by impressive detail. So we feel sentiments of volition, consideration and intent towards the future.

I'm moved and impressed.

The image is excellent.

The ideas being expressed in the writing are utter cr*p. And I am being generous here.

Welcome back Tom. Missed you; not the person, but the images the person makes. :)

We are back to normal now...well almost.

Cheers.

p.s you must have missed me too; not the person nor the photographs I make, but my thinking. :)

I fail to to see!

I cannot see where anything connects-

Charlotte-

It takes me a while to figure it out as well, Charlotte. I look at the picture and that stuff came to mind. What more connection do you want? It's not a street directory or assembly instructions for a piece of Ikia furniture.
