Hi Chris,

I fully understand the feeling. I've had to deal with it myself in the past many times due to lack of reactions to my posts. That's why I've tried for many years to react to posts which have received no reactions. I still do that to a certain extent but I've got a life outside of OPF. So I've missed your posts, unfortunately. Sometimes people look but don't have the need to react, even more so if the pictures are good. And this is a slow time of the year anyway. But you knew this already.

Is this on your way to Anacortes ?
I have seen this before but had no time to stop and drop a line.
It is well done and I think you do have improved quite a lot lately :)
Just perhaps a little too blue ... OK, monitor to blame perhaps...
Cheers :)

Hi

Hi Chris,

I fully understand the feeling. I've had to deal with it myself in the past many times due to lack of reactions to my posts. That's why I've tried for many years to react to posts which have received no reactions. I still do that to a certain extent but I've got a life outside of OPF. But you knew this already.

... that's it ... and basically, it is always more effective to discuss pictures in real life with people in direct contact ... keep on goin' !

I'm always a bit uncertain about pictures like this one. They are glimpses of a personal view and emotion. For me I'm disturbed by the lines outside the windows, that's why I try to get such photos in front, but admittedly with the problem to make the photographer vanished .... :) just like in this one here ...
(uuh, hope you understand what I mean ...)

A little disappointed this has received no comments.

What kind of comments do you want? It is a simple yet effective pictures and I like the harmony of colors. Or do you want suggestions? In which case, I would crop the bit of window left at the left-hand side. The picture is more effective if it starts with a full window on the left.

This is a gorgeous picture, Chris, a great combination of a giant machine of man and natures fabulous beauty. But there's an uncertainty that's disturbing to the horizontal structure of the picture. It's as if we took a sports picture of a basketball player, with both hands mostly cut off so we can't see the ball!

Here we have no idea whether it's stationary or moving, either towards or away from us! Stationary would be shown by two complete windows at each end. Moving away towards us there would be a partial window to the right. A partial window on the left and the boat is leaving.
