Finally took the time during these holidays to pay that place a visit.

If Loretta Lux did landscapes, these would qualify. I really like them but have not analysed them in any way in making this remark. That's my 2 second immediate impulsive reaction.

Now I have spent more time, I see there's more to pop! As an experiement, try moving the center of the histogram in photoshop from 1.0 to 0.54. Not that the image is improved, but something worth experiencing.

I like the first picture best since it peovides context for the tree and would have even liked just a little bit more landscape and sky on the right and sky above for a classic composition.

If this is near you, devote yourself and you have a wonderful subject with no lights, makeup artist or wardrobe needed!

Hmmm I do prefer as is, soft pastel colors. We then still discern the hoarfrost…

Fabulous well known colors from Northern Europe…

These are the only signs of winter for this year . . . no snow yet

I am pleased with the colors: D300 ISO200 14bit raw files.

The 2 last are only exports form Lightroom. The 2 first passed noiseware, some output sharpening.
