My World: Trudging

A snowy, blustery day in Chicago yesterday. I took the afternoon off to attend the show of Tagore paintings at the Art Institute (very soulful and moving) and did some street shooting along the way.

John, a glorious tonality to these. Capturing the feeling of the cold.

One of the best posts here.

Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, Ben and Fahim. Really appreciate your comments.

Fahim, I am also pleased with the tones. I just added a GX1 to my GF1 kit and this was the first outing with it. I shot all afternoon at ISO 800 and the files look great. I printed this shot a 12 x 16" and am very satisfied.

A nice picture and very good mono conversion. I think waht makes this work from me , apart from the body language of the ladies, is the st of three parallel paths that they have left without cluter from other walkers. Together with the tracery of the trees they creat the impression of cold, but also of virgin snow and quiert and more peaceful times. The negative space that the right of frame worried me at first, but has grown on me as the ladies m=need somewhere to go.

Nice picture
