Hans Miedema: Typical Dutch:4
Hans,
This is a welcome set of photographs and you'll notice that I put white space around them as each deserves it's own breathing room.
This pylon power-line and dominated photograph is especially new to me, (as it has no pretty windmill and is) not what I'd have expected to be typical of Holland. But then I'm wrong. I see the tiny figure of a windmill to the right of the gap in the trees allowing for the power lines. And now I see there's more on the left and behind the trees. Even with all the magnificent sky, the land is so striking and the trees made like thin brush strokes, as if a friend from Paris visited Van Gogh and gave him delicate trees.
And then look how modern the windmills are, electric wind turbines and then all that power going somewhere and not spoiling the sienna landscape. Kudos!
