Huuummm what an image Cem !
I really like this.

When I see an image and I stop and think: "ei ! what's that ?!" (or something similar :) :) ) it must be a good one ! :)

One one tiny little detail I don't like, or I do not like that much: the man on the left at the end. But I like the symmetry, the red and the light green with an overall white/light ambiance.

Good, good ! :) :)

Cem,

This is a "fresh" and lighthearted view of impressive architecture, that extra relaxing finish given by the perfect addition of the one very special woman on the left. In fact one could imagine that you staged this picture! The color of her dress and bag are in harmony with the soft orange-pink and green light diffused over two ceiling levels above.

I like those touches, the girl and the colors. Otherwise, the classic architecture, although freshly painted, is too factual and cold for me.

If you, yourself, didn't like the presence of the man on the left, as Antonio contemplated, then would you feel free to remove him? Or, are you a purist so, beyond adjusting tone and color you'd hit your ethical limits?

I am happy with the picture "as is" but I'd love to know your philosophy on the question of so-called "truth".

Very nice, fresh sweet and strong colors, marvelous work on contrasts…
I love it !
Of course like all Cem's image, the framing is precise and perfect.

As long as the photo is not made for documentary or forensic reasons, it is a work of art and I can do whatever I want to do with it. I would certainly feel free to remove the man on the left had it bothered me.

Cem.

It's important for civilized folk to learn rules. However, I soon got tired of having to sit in a seat with 52 other kids in school and not dream or draw. I've been breaking rules ever since. In fact, it's essential to bring being an artist. The other thing is to resist pressure for perfection. That, alone drives the beating heart from a picture.

Obviously, you have already mastered these skills and so we get from you scenes that retain humanity: the admixture of assets and liabilities that make up real life-stories. As you have done here in this untitled picture, you've applied these elements to good effect in your series, "Facades" , which, to me, marks a major addition of your approach to photography. Thanks, as always for sharing your view from your private window.

It caught my eye as well, just as most of your images do. I was particularly drawn to the colors. With the woman's dress, shoes, and bag, it's almost as if she dressed to match the room. Your eyes always seem open.

I got very lucky with the colors she was wearing James. It makes the photo imo. Thanks for your kind comments.

If we are going to remove the man, we could as well consider hiring a model with the same color of clothes and redo the picture... ;)
