I believe what we see and remember of any object is just an amalgamation of infinite pieces of
information that are stored in our memory. I do not know the science of memory recall, but what
would happen if some of these pieces are not properly recalled..missing sometimes color information,
shapes, textures, relative dimensions.. and one could not resort to a photograph? I want to experiment with this idea.
If the camera becomes the decider of last resort, how then do we recall smells when we look at a picture?
What about the parfum of the women you had dinner with? suppose your memory brings out an
vile smell associated with that person, would the photograph recall it for you or would you prefer
to associate an imaginary but pleasant smell with that person. Is it the memory of the person, or
the retention of the smell of a parfum? Is it the color of a building or its shape. Some object in there?
Your comments are greatly appreciated. If you think this is garbage please say so.
Thank you for your patience with my mental meanderings.
