View from the fron door

The bird, a Torres Island pigeon, the TV antenna and the sky are all real enough. Colour s are as true as they come on the Nikon 1 V2 with Nikkor 135 mm f2 DC. A bit of shifting of layers to get the bird and moon to alight and presto.
I thought it might make a nice screen saver.
I'm sorry to say but the view from my front door is usually better. Last week I had a flock of galahs in sight but they took off before I could put down my drink.

Very nice image.

It is hard to get used to the pink moon. Maybe it is the differential nature of human perception - we had a "blue moon" here last night.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Doug

Magenta seems to be strong after sunset during the fire season. 78% of the Northern Territory undergoes fire clearance each year, either controlled or not. The sky is filled with smoke and ash for months. It's all part of the natural ecology of the Top End. I sure there's a great explanation for it all. The outcome is great colors and a continuous cough.

Cheers Doug
