Wacom Tablets

I am curious as to what is a normal life expectancy for a tablet. Mine still works in jerks and bounds, but it is so erratic I am better off using a mouse now. Wacom support talked me into buying a new pen, but it doesn´t help. I suppose I have had it for about five years, and used it a lot for the first six months. Since then I have seldom been home, so it has not seen much action. I will buy another, but if the lifespan is normally so short I will stick with a cheaper model.

I have used Wacom tablets since Moses introduced them. I've never had one fail.

If you're using a Windows PC check your driver.

I´ve downloaded new drivers and tried it on both of my computers, but it refuses to work. I have used it at some very high temperatures, so maybe cooked it that way.

Hi Clayton,

I've never had any problems (first with a Graphire and now with an Intuos model). With the Graphire I used to get interference with my wireless mouse, but it was only the mouse that was hurting.

Do you have other wireless sources in the vicinity that could perhaps interfere with the tablet, and which tablet model do you use? Maybe the high temperatures did toast the circuits?
