I spent the large part of my day at a Farmers Market selling my prints.I got home about 8,my mom was sitting on the couch covering her face.I asked what happened and she was insistant i set my camera and other items down so i did so and at this point very scared as shes not ever like this....She took her hand down and had this massive black eye....I mean BLACK...Her entire eye lid area was black and red around the eye socket and purple and a gash on her head....
I paniced..Told her she was going to the hospital...Made a few calls and had the neighbors come over and they just thought it was bad but not hospital worthy....This is the most severe black eye i have ever seen...
So mom shes insistant that i take pictures of it so i set up my tripod and did so,I went to the other neighbors to show him....Turns out,couple days ago,he got hit,while on his motorcycle on interstate 5 by a RV....He was doing 70,did have a moment to lock up the brakes before impact.And of all things it was a hit and run.
I just cant believe this what happened to my mom and the what happened to Ben...We are a close bunch us neighbors...So all this on the same night is like wow....
My mom fell while i was gone...Since her stroke shes not had good balance and this is what i fear the most.I just cant be here all the time i have to work an i have to shoot.She intentionally did not tell me when i called her cause she said she knew i'd come right home...Oh its so bad looking.Her eyes all swollen....Not how i wanted my day to end.I guess i should be glad shes not hurt worse but i wont get much sleep tonight.I feel like i should keep tabs on her through the night in case shes hurt worse then what we know.......Shes certain its just a bad black eye.Me,I'm over protective maybe but this is my mom....
