How many generations have held these coins? How many Guinnesses, day's wages, Mince pies and corn for the Christmas turkey.
I see a Victoria, I see a Georges V, a George VI, An Edward VII, Elizabeth II...
Times are passing very quickly from under our eyes!

It's a three pence piece (thruppeny bit). It ceased to be legal tender in 1971 as twelve and its friends had no place in the new decimal world.

In 1965 it would have bought you 4 tablespoons of draught guiness.
