White House Libyan Protest

Sorry, I find the selective color on the flags to be contrived and stale.

I'd like to see a closer engagement with the protesters to see expression and feelings.

They must feel strongly about the issue to be there, so why not show those feelings?

I was just in D.C. showing my girlfriend around and as we came upon the White House we noticed a libyan protest happening. It was peaceful and small but still very interesting. Let me know what you think.

Casey,

get closer to the action... protesters don't bite... and when they do it makes work ... Speak to people and take part... instead of a voyeur you will be a voyager... good luck....#

Casey,

I must say I agree that having just the flags colored does not seem to add anything to the picture, rather takes attention away from the people. It works as well or better entirely in B&W. Did they give out pamphlets? What were they chanting? What were they "protesting" about?

For these pictures, the flags are, of course, great, but getting pictures of the people is equally important. Are these all Libyan? Are there other groups, for example, Trade Unions, Egyptian or Iraqi students in solidarity? Doctors without Borders, Unicef or what?

Hope you have more to share!

Asher
