Natural light from the large door on his back.

and with the help of a flash, perhaps a bit too strong ...

Well, Antonio, you've done it again. A superb character study of a man at work. I prefer the first one. Everything looks so natural there. Him having his mind set at the job, the concentration on repairing the engine. I don't mind the lighting you mentioned in the second one, it is actually quite pleasant. However, I'm not completely crazy about him looking out of the picture. Not especially when compared with the great first one.

Antonio, the first image is simply gorgeous. I am not a fan ( read ignorant ) of flash. But the way the lighting in the first image has been captured renders a memorable image.

Best.

Thank you Jarmo :)
I do have another one with him looking at me taken two later :) which I printed in color to offer him. I show you here the B&W version. In this photograph the flash fired.
My wife likes the colored image very much as the car is red.

Fahim flash is hard to master. I mean for me that is !
However, I do my best with it. I try, I try and... I try again and come to the conclusion that it is not that difficult. :)
When I use it I want it "disguised", not obviously present, even if I have - often - use it the other way.

My project "Muito cá de casa" is an example of a simple technique of using the flash.
The flash is in every image, quite present and rather soft. Well... sometimes. LOL

Thank you Fahim :)
