Ging Haly: The Yellow Crane Terrace, Wuhan, China

Ging, The pictures here didn't show. They seem to be thumbnails. However, the pictures sent to me by PM were OK. I've put these 2 pictures here for you, but your first one, of the University, was as small as a postage stamp, too small!

Hi,

Welcome to our forum.

The URLs you gave for those images are not workable as direct links from forum messages.

And I notice that they lead to "thumbnail" pictures.

You may need to arrange for access to your images in a different way.

Qing Haly: East Lake,Wuhan, China

At last Qing, people! I knew there were people in China! So people I guess do a lot of boating. I hope you will photograph all around the lake. There must be lots of men, women and children doing so many different things. I hope you will show us the life there. What are the buildings in the background with the traditional curved roofs? Are they restaurants or what?

I like the peaceful scenery with the hills in the distance. Thanks for sharing this small bit of Wuhan,

Asher

Hi Quing,

Don't worry, your English is good enough.

I especially like this first image, with the warm low angled light illuminating the top of the buildings.

The second image is also nice, but the buildings are not straight, they are leaning to the right a bit, which I find a bit distracting.

The last 2 are not as interesting as the first 2, mainly because they lack a clear main subject.

Cheers,
Bart

Ing Haly: Wuhan,China

I love this picture. It's the China of mist over the Ganges with green trees putting branches into the clouds from the side of mountains and towards many birds flying through the mist.

This to me is heaven! Now I see there are boats in heaven and that is useful to know!

That's interesting Qing,

It surprised me that Christmas would be celebrated in such a public way so far from Sanghai were there are a lot of Westerners. Is this a public holiday in China too? It's good that there is such freedom in modern China!

Christmas is not the satutory holiday in China, but the festival atmosphere become much more concentrated. Some foreign-funded enterprises and universities will hod a christmas party in Christmas Eve for Westerners.
