Well I haven't done a lot of photography this year, but I purchased a wine decanter that I found beautiful and I felt I really wanted to put something in it and shoot. So the decanter was bought expressly to take pictures, although I may use it otherwise too because I love wine but mostly bought for its shape,
I don't have any fresh flowers and my calla lilies are in the process of going dormant for the winter.

I have some maples in the front yard and brought in a branch.

Your dark bg is perfect and you can add it even symmetrically to an even larger dark space, it’s so wonderfully composed!
