  • Bald Eagles can live a long time. The oldest recorded bird in the wild was at least 38 years old when it was hit and killed by a car in New York in 2015. It had been banded in the same state in 1977.

Congratulations on a beautifully shot bird! The feathers texture and the head are shown in exquisite detail.

I wonder if Audubon had a camera and lens outfit like you use he’s have still shot the birds out of the sky to paint their portraits!

Not sure Asher but even with todays technologies the use of commercial photography hides around the world is a common practise but a controversial subject amongst wildlife photographers.
