This is a winner! The boy has a great view up their and his face shows such a sense of innocence and wonder. His eyes engage us from the safe perch of his father's shoulders. I'm fascinated by that water bottle. It not only adds so much to the story; it was a hot day, perhaps. The water also adds an anchoring fixed point in the composition to balance the beauty in the boys face. This is about life. The father's introduction of the street festivities to him. It's about life. The boy has life, the water sustains it and the man is it's sworn guardian!

A keen eye you have indeed!
The day was excetionally warm, the water certainly a necessity.
His safe perch allowed him to enjoy the dancing of his father - and the boy was hanging on quite tightly!
I especially love the way the cap is jammed down on his head, giving his ears a funny appearance.
Thanks for commenting, I truly appreciate it.

I am loving how theears on he child fold on one side and not the other-the curious look he has in his eyes
and of course the father shouldering him- as parents do!
