It means, more or less, "the world is very plain to see": it is there, easy to be seen as it is, clear, obvious, unambiguous.
Documentary work is sometimes looked down upon by a few artists. Even as it does something very important for them - preserving (their) work which is bound to disappear and making it accessible to a larger public.... But I am glad I could save some memories before they are gone forever. ...
In a few years, somebody might ask for it...
