Hello from the seaside

We're spending a few days on the Oregon coast at Arch Cape.
When we arrived it was quite misty, even foggy out to sea, but this didn't stop us getting down to the beach to do some digging...............

By 6pm the sea fret had cleared to leave a beautiful evening with stunning views from the garden of our cottage.

We returned to Seattle on Sunday.

Some shots of the Astoria-Megler bridge which takes Highway 101 over the Columbia. Taken from a moving car, so please excuse the IQ.

Leaving Megler OR.

What happiness and pride of achievement on so many levels for each of you! I can identify with this unimagined fruit of fatherhood: to enjoy such moments with grandchildren and know it all continues even though you mostly forgot you ever did this.

Stuart,

This is a part of heaven on earth. Tell me, where else have you seen such a beautiful beach? Is there anywhere else you know that looks as fair?

Have a safe journey Stuart.

Lovely pictures and Dismal Nitch made my day - coud be a job description!

Mike

Thanks Mike.
I got home yesterday afternoon. The flight was fine, as far as 9 hours in a plane can be, except for having to circle for 20 mins waiting for a landing slot at Heathrow. That's really frustrating!

There is of course a story behind the name.

Hi Asher,

I have a photo somewhere of me and my son doing exactly the same thing 35 years ago. The circle continues.

Question

These images were edited on a borrowed laptop. Now that I'm home and viewing them on my own monitor, they all seem a bit dark. Any comments?
