Ruben Alfu : Gamboa's Titan

Titan is a floating crane built by the Germans in 1941 and now used in maintenance operations at the Panama Canal. Gamboa is a small town by the Canal where the crane is stationed. Although far behind the size of today's largest ones, Titan still owns a place in the world of floating cranes.

Here's a brief story of this remarkable machine and its travel to Panama:

Ruben,

It's so impressive: the crane, the sky and the rich grasses. It seems that you brought along Cem to do the post processing.

Hi Asher,

I think that contrast between nature and machine is what called my attention, although, like Ben said, the photo actually doesn't make justice to the size of the crane.

Cem? How could I deny his influence and that of many other OPF photographers as well in my work? :)

Regards,

Ruben
