Hi,
what is essential for the often fragile stability of a flowers blossom is shown by this b&w-conversion of a tulip-shot ...

I like this very much - I've been looking at it for the past few days.

I like that you seem to go beyond the fact that it is a flower and focus on something more elemental, that I hadn't thought of before. It makes me think of curving carbon-fiber frames and the huge trusses needed for large covered spaces.

Thanks for posting,
Sam

Wolfgang,

I really find your discrimination between what's needed and what's irrelevant is near perfect as I can imagine. This is essentially photography that is not documentation. In fact, this is not even photography, in the historical sense. From the outset, photography occurred when light from an object writes the image. Here you have limited what we see and give us something more by showing us less! Bravo!

Hi Asher,

It was done in a line of some kind of high-key shots of tulips. Some sorts of these flowers a predestinated for shots against a very light background as they have this accurate lines in their foliages. And one idea was to create a b/w version, just to see what will be - well, the result was this picture. I'm still sort of surprised and amazed by the result and therefore I'm searching and thinking myself about what to do next ... so let's see ...
