Asher, there is no such connection that I know of. ( My film days in Santorini would produce similar blues!!)

The images you mention are from from the city of Chefchaouen. Around 80 kms from Tangiers. The
influence of the Med is obvious. Chef is known as the ' Blue City ', Marakkesh as the ' Red City ' and Essaouira on the Atlantic as the ' Windy City '.

Fahim,

This is is the third instance in you bring us such a unique blue and white palette. Is there some special cultural background to this choice by homeowners? I can imagine that this would go well by the blue sea or lakes.

Fahim,

This white and blue contrast - it was always fascinating for me, but I never manged to capture it well. Thanks for showing.

Michael, it so happens that my favorite color is blue..the lighter shades; but any shade in combination that is visually catching for me.

In strong light, stark sushine, I struggle with capturing anything well!!

Thanks for looking in.

The alleyways are a favorite hunting ground for me. Backstreets, away from the guided tours,
is where I seem to be most at ease. Allows me to talk to the local folk who are not in a hurrry to
sell some trinkets...

That door is fantastic. i was in Tangiers years ago and don't recall seeing that kind of color in the streets. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to explore the area more.

Thanks George. Very much appreciated. Tangiers is more hype than substance. And more hip too!! I avoid it.

I went 80 kms away to the Blue City..

Fahim, I love the intensity of the blues, makes everything around it look so alive. Unfortunately, I live where the houses are very conservative - bland white, grey or beige and kind of blah, boring! Love that last photo with the woman walking down the path, bringing just that nice little touch of red.

Maggie, thank you so very much for your comments. Do you live in Quebec city? That, Montreal and the Laurentians are something I would never tire of. So so much to do, see and photograph.

You are lucky to be living in that beautiful part of Canada.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Fahim, I used to live in Montreal but now I live in a small town about 350 miles away. We do have beautiful fall colors though and you are right, the Laurentians are gorgeous and Quebec is very much like Europe in many ways.
