Martin, could you tell us more about these pictures? Are they a part of a larger series?
Hi Jarmo,
No, they aren't a part of a series in the way you probably intend that to mean. They are part of my collection of street photographs which isn't so neatly categorized. I very much enjoy this kind of informal "portraiture in the moment." I often simply stop interesting people and ask if I may make some photographs. The couple in the Victorian-ish outfits were delighted to have me do so, and posed themselves carefully. This photograph absolutely captures their essence in every way.

The fellow in black hat and jacket was a tour guide and I thought he looked rather like Indiana Jones. He was very rakish, handsome and dashing looking, and once he was at the white picket fence, I knew it would make a good photograph, so I just shot a few quick candids and got one that was quite authentic of him.

Thanks! That does answer my question. Your title made me think you're compiling a larger set of personalities you've met on this Plaza. Interesting photos and some characters you've bumped into during your strolls!
