I haven't had much time to shoot much with my new Ricoh GR but I did manage to get over to my brother's place today and got some photographs of my nieces.
This shot has only had a little more exposure applied to the shadows and highlights. No NR has been applied either...
As with all Ricoh cameras at high ISO settings the noise (I will call it grain), looks just beautiful and film-like and I love it. Although, this camera at 1600 and above has well controlled and acceptable noise levels...

I'm impressed by the creative angle. it really adds to the charm. Reminds me of you angles in architectural shots in London.

This is beautiful.

Did you do the conversion in camera or in PS. The GR is an amazingly capable camera in a tiny package. Congrats. I was thinking of fill length portraits of adults with this camera. It should do well.

Oh Asher, it is a surefire winner of a camera, I think it's a camera killer too! It is so quick and the AF is always so spot on with no hunting around, even in Macro mode, contrary to what others have said in reviews. They must have been shooting too close and beyond it's focusing range...idiots.

The conversion was done in PP, Asher...

BTW, two nights ago I spotted a second hand (as new) GV-1 viewfinder on Ebay for £49. I snapped it up...money saved!

Ha! I like to make surprises! : )
Good catch for the viewfinder, I'm not really used to look to a screen for shooting (I never shoot tethered! lol!)

This is a vey special experience for me, I'll use the GR mainly for personal work/research.
I already found the way to have all settings manual, great on a compact camera!

The GV-1 is not electronically connected to the camera so there's no display at all, which is a shame. It's just a couple of 21mm and 28mm frames but at least it will serve me well in framing and gauging a scene instead of having to keep turning the camera on...

While your leg is getting better, I decided to revisit some of your earlier posts and discovered Chloe. What as cute thing! This is really fabulous shot just from Chloe having such a cute hide and seek "You found me!" look and also for the fact that it's done at ISO 6400!
