My first impressions were that you had discovered interesting engravings on some hotel wall in your travels. Then the people on the left brought me back to photography. So we get both worlds and then some insight in to your processing!

Fahim,

You must tell us about this place.

Fahim,

Essouira, Morocco.

Lovely little artist's town with a sizable west european population.
Postcard scenes all around you!! Sheesha and coffee on the roof-tops with mariner's tales till the wee hours of the morn.

Thanks for looking in Asher.

Beautiful rendering Fahim, and somehow quite appropriate for the content. Well done, in my opinion. And quite film-like.

Comment on the woman and girl on the porch.

This is very successful, I think. The sharp edged enclosure, the expressions, a woman and a girl on the verge of becoming a woman, yet girl enough to still be wearing jeans... for some reason I think sisters, not mother daughter. I am clearly reading my sensibilities into it, but isn't that always the case?

Mark, thank you for the kind comments. And a warm belated welcome to OPF.

Kindest regards.

Great additions Fahim, keep them coming. Wasn't the last one from your Maghreb series? I kind of remember seeing it in color before, but I may as well be mistaken. :)

Bonjour Fahim
This "traveller's" serie is really impressive, they couldn't be signed by someone else than you!
Still, from my personal point of view (so don't take it as a critique!) I regret the choice of B&W and grain, the style could let one falsely think these are old pics from old times, albeit you're showing today's humans and humanity!

Bon soir Nicolas.

I hope things go well with you and your family.

Valid comments mon ami. But I am, indeed, a very old man!!

In any case permit me a straight b&w from my travels in French speaking lands. And what lands! What scenes :)

Of course I do!
Thanks for this last addition, I'm wondering what is that French speaking land…
The man expression is self speaking in any language!
